1. Go to your Browser Settings (for this example Firefox):
Click on the three horizontal lines (hamburger menu) in the top-right corner of the browser window.
From the dropdown menu, select "Settings." This will open the settings tab.
2. Navigate to PDF settings
In the search bar type "PDF" to quickly locate the settings related to PDF files.
3. Adjust PDF Settings to 'Open in Firefox', or your browser of choice..
You will see an entry for "Portable Document Format (PDF)."
Click on the dropdown menu next to this entry.
Select "Open in Firefox" from the list of options. This setting ensures that PDFs are opened directly in the Firefox browser instead of downloading or opening with another application.
Once you’ve selected "Open in Firefox," the setting is automatically saved. You can close the settings tab.
