Peppol and Gekko

What is Peppol?

Peppol is an international network for securely and standardized exchange of electronic invoices (e-invoices) between businesses and also between government institutions. It ensures that invoices are sent and received quickly, reliably, and without errors.

Will Gekko join Peppol?

Gekko plans to join the Peppol network. This is on the roadmap for 2025, with the goal of having an integration in place before 2026. This should allow Gekko users to send e-invoices via Peppol without issues. Whether invoices can also be received via Peppol in Gekko is still being investigated.

How will Gekko connect to Peppol?

Gekko will likely connect to Peppol through a third party acting as an access point, but at this moment we cannot make any definitive statements about this development. As soon as more information is available, we will of course communicate this with our users.

Why is Peppol used?

The use of e-invoicing and connecting to the Peppol network is becoming mandatory for some government entities. In many countries, including Belgium and other European countries, Peppol or a similar network will be required for invoicing.

What does this mean for Gekko users?

At the moment, nothing changes. As soon as Peppol is integrated into Gekko, we will inform our users and explain exactly what will change.
